About

I am an ethnomusicologist committed to the meaningful study of music as a culturally complex reflection of the human experience. I received the PhD in Musicology from Florida State University in 2023. I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, and have previously taught at the University of Delaware and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. My research interests include Caribbean music, music of the Caribbean diaspora, childhood music, world music pedagogy, nationalism, neoliberalism, and race. I am passionate about the pivotal connections between research and the classroom, and strive to make earnest relationships in the variety of settings I work in.

Outside of my work, I am an avid runner and reader. You can find me at a local 5K, checking out books at the local library, or snuggling up with my calico cat Millie.
